Cord fabric is one of the main components of tires and is mainly used as the inner skeleton material of tires.

Cord fabric is one of the main components of tires and is mainly used as the inner skeleton material of tires. It is a skeleton fabric for tires woven with high-strength cord as the warped yarn and fine elastic wrapped yarn as the weft. The warp yarns are closely arranged while the weft yarns are sparsely arranged, resembling a curtain. Cord fabric features high strength, high modulus, low shrinkage, excellent creep resistance and dimensional stability.

Tire cord fabric is a reinforcing material for the tire skeleton of automobiles, accounting for approximately 10% to 15% of the total weight of the outer tire, and has a significant impact on the performance and lifespan of the tire. The cord layer is usually composed of multiple layers of rubber-impregnated cord bonded together with rubber, which plays a role in enhancing the overall strength of the tire and stabilizing the outer tire. Tire cord has a high technical content and has very high requirements for strength, elongation, elastic modulus, adhesion to rubber, fatigue resistance, dimensional stability, heat resistance and impact resistance of the fibers. Its raw materials include nylon, polyester, viscose filament, para-aramid and steel wire, etc.
